Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (hereinafter "ToS") define the conditions of access and use of the CalX mobile application (hereinafter "the Application"), published by CalX.

By downloading, installing, or using CalX, you agree without reservation to these ToS. If you disagree with any of the terms, you must stop using the Application.

CalX is a nutrition and fitness application powered by artificial intelligence. It offers the following services:

Using CalX requires creating an account, either via email and password or via Google Sign-In. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration.
• Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• Immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.
• Not create multiple accounts for the same person.

You are fully responsible for all activity performed under your account.

All elements of the Application (design, source code, algorithms, texts, logos, icons, images, sounds) are the exclusive property of CalX or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Any reproduction, representation, modification, or distribution, in whole or in part, of the Application or its content, without prior written authorization from CalX, is strictly prohibited.

You agree to use CalX in compliance with applicable laws and these ToS. It is specifically prohibited to:

• Use the Application for illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purposes.
• Publish offensive, discriminatory, defamatory, or hateful content in Squads.
• Impersonate another user.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or other users' data.
• Use bots, scrapers, or any other automated means to access the Application.
• Disrupt or overload CalX's infrastructure.

CalX reserves the right to suspend or delete any account in violation of these rules, without notice or compensation.

By posting content on CalX (meal photos, Squad messages, progress photos, etc.), you retain ownership of your content. However, you grant CalX a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use this content in connection with the operation and improvement of the service.

You warrant that you have the necessary rights to the content you post and that this content does not infringe on the rights of third parties.

CalX offers a free 3-day trial period. After the trial period, a paid subscription (monthly or annual) is required to continue using the Application. Prices are configured dynamically by the publisher and displayed within the Application. Subscriptions are managed via in-app purchases on the App Store (Apple) or Google Play Store.

Prices will be clearly displayed before any purchase. Any purchase made through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play Store is subject to the general terms of the respective platform.

Refunds: in-app purchases are processed directly by Apple App Store or Google Play. Refund requests must therefore be submitted to the relevant platform according to its own terms (Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com, Google via play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory). For EU consumers: in accordance with Article 16(m) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content whose performance has started with your express consent upon subscription. If you have trouble obtaining a refund from the store, contact us at contact@calx.be — we will do our best to assist you.

Subscription cancellation: you can cancel your subscription at any time from your store settings (App Store or Google Play). The cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Important: deleting your CalX account does NOT automatically cancel your subscription — you must cancel it directly from your store.

CalX is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

• CalX does not guarantee that the Application will be available uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
• CalX shall not be held liable for direct or indirect damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Application.
• CalX is not responsible for the accuracy of nutritional estimates provided by AI (see section 4).
• CalX is not responsible for content posted by users in Squads.

To the extent permitted by law, CalX's total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you have actually paid for the use of the Application in the last 12 months.

You may stop using CalX and delete your account at any time from the Application settings or by contacting contact@calx.be.

CalX reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account in the event of a violation of these ToS, harmful behavior toward the community, or if required by law.

Upon termination, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Privacy.

CalX reserves the right to modify these ToS at any time. Changes will take effect upon publication on this page. The last update date is shown at the top of this document.

Continued use of the Application after the publication of modified ToS constitutes acceptance of the new terms. In the event of substantial changes, we will notify you via an in-app notification or by email.

These ToS are governed by and construed in accordance with:

• Belgian law for users located in the European Union.
• Canadian federal law and the laws of the user's province of residence for users located in Canada.

In the event of a dispute, the parties will endeavor to find an amicable solution. Failing that, the competent courts shall be those of the consumer's domicile or, for disputes initiated by CalX, the courts of Belgium.

If any clause of these ToS is found to be null or unenforceable, it shall be deemed unwritten without affecting the validity of the other clauses, which shall remain in full force and effect.
